We stayed at Rocaminori for our wedding anniversary and were welcomed warmly. The family-run business had a genuine desire for us to have a great time. The cleanliness and presentation of the room were outstanding, especially the unique cave room. The troglodyte village atmosphere was like nowhere else, and exploring the surrounding sites was memorable. The breakfast served in the cave next door was a fabulous experience. a unique and thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Had an amazing New Year experience at this unique hotel situated in a troglodyte village with a family-run atmosphere. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and made sure we had a great time. The hotel has an on-site restaurant that offered delicious authentic meals which we enjoyed. The central location was perfect for exploring the nearby Loire locations. The highlight of our stay was the quirky room we chose which had a raw rock wall, giving it an authentic cave feel.

The signage around the hotel needs improvement, especially in locating the breakfast area. , the hotel had limited facilities which meant we could only stay for a short while.

That the non-troglodyte rooms had poor air conditioning, which made it difficult to sleep at night, especially during warm weather. However, the hotel provided us with table fans which helped a little.

The castle was like stepping back in time, with its grand halls and beautiful gardens. We loved learning about the history of the place and the views from the top were breathtaking. The Veuve Amiot was a charming winery, where we enjoyed a delightful tour and tasting. The sparkling wines were absolutely delicious and we even brought a few bottles back home with us. These activities made our family trip truly memorable.

My kids wished there was a dedicated play area for children.

The hotel is great value for money, with modern and spacious rooms. The huge bathroom with a walk-in shower adds to the overall experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the troglodyte village and there are plenty of things to do in the local area. Additionally, the breakfast provided for only €9 is excellent, with a variety of options including breads, cereal, fruit. It is served in a candle-lit cave, creating a unique and pleasant atmosphere.

No major issues, everything was satisfactory.
